Jean is a member of the BPO & Valuations team at Rising Realty.  He has extensive experience in and around REO marketing, management,  order processing, and Valuations.  He comes to Rising Realty with 5 years experience both as an REO marketing manager and REO quality controls coordinator responsible for establishing, documenting, and assuring compliance to bank requirements for all aspects of the REO order processing cycle.  A long time resident of the South FLorida area, Val Jean has intimate knowledge of the unique character of the South Florida real estate market. Val Jean has a B.S. degree from TX A&M Prairie View and has worked in both engineering and marketing positions for several fortune 500 companies; notably General Dynamics, Honeywell, and Motorola.

 

Since December 2008, Val Jean has been assisting the BPO & Valuations team of Rising Realty with the mission critical task of establishing proper Valuations for REO assets managed by Rising Realty.  20+ years experience as a Land Lord,  property manager, and commercial real estate owner has assisted Val Jean develop a “keen eye” for estimating the cost of property damage, deferred maintenance, functional obsolescence, and other key real estate Value Drivers.  Strong analytical skills enable him to quantify the economic impact of these Value Drivers on a  particular REO asset, while superb communication skills allow him to persuasively argue these impacts in terms that are both understandable and actionable.
